today i was assigned to observe three classes that will be my class for the coming weeks..
i was given 4 periods every Monday and will be teaching maths, english and science..
1 period of maths as a subject.. and the rest across curriculum.
0800-0900am primary 5B Mathematics.. 1Hour
currently they are working on Geometrical properties square, rectangle and parallelogram. knowing the basic rules of opposite angles and opposite sides. and some exercises for the pupils.
0930-1000am primary 5C English.. 1/2Hour
the pupils started of by reading a short text by the teacher.. and at the same time the teacher asked if they understand some particular words that they were reading. After that they were asked to translate the text into malay. And giving extra exercises changing some words into past tense.
1100-1130am primary 5A Science.. 1/2 Hour
i was suppose to observe this class but at around 10.30 me and some colleagues were asked to bring some pupils out to buy clothes. its a long story.. emergency.. so i wasn't able to attend the class to observe the teacher because we were back at around 12.
Anyways i met the teacher and and she told me that the pupils have finished and covered all the topics.. and what they are going to do in these coming weeks is just revise.
